Qualifications

• Registered Republican
• Live within area of county represented (preferably, but not absolutely required)
• Active communicator via e-mail
• Willing to accept the following responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Assume leadership responsibility for the management of BCGOP projects as initiated by the Executive Committee and staffed from the precincts within your area.
• Obtain a list of precincts and precinct chairpersons in your area.
• Read and know thoroughly the responsibilities of a precinct chairperson. You are responsible for the performance of two to five precinct chairpersons. You are responsible for training your precinct chairpersons.

• For any of your precincts which lacks a chair, use information from Voter Vault, volunteer lists furnished by Volunteer Coordinator, or any other source of information about active Republicans in the target precincts, in order to work with the BCGOP Vice Chair to identify and recruit a precinct chairperson.
• For your precincts which lack chairs, for as long as they lack chairs, you are responsible for carrying out the duties of the precinct chairpersons.
• For precincts which have chairs, work with the precinct chairpersons to insure the timely and thorough completion of their duties.

Additional Responsibilities

• Before the first of each month, send by e-mail to Vice Chair or his designee a short paragraph regarding your status/progress/plans/successes/failures/lessons learned.
• Read your e-mail daily for BCGOP information.
• Regularly read www/buncombegop.org. Subscribe to monthly BCGOP newsletter.
• Attend 3/4 of all Buncombe County Republican Party Executive Committee Meetings, unless excused by the BCGOP Chair or Vice Chair.
• Attend 3/4 of all Buncombe County Republican Party Central Committee Meetings, unless excused by the BCGOP Chair or Vice Chair.
• Support local elected Republican officials and candidates.
